This week’s pick of our favourite new and upcoming artists includes, indie rock band Pillow Queens, Glasweigian singer-songwriter Joesef and rapper Jay Silva. Click here for the playlist.

Welsh singer-songwriter and producer Twst (Chloé Davis) is a creative powerhouse. Her modern sound combines electronic and infectious beats, it’s been compared to the likes of Billie Eilish and Charli XCX. She released her latest track, Are You Listening? Back in February. 
Eventim recommends: sad girls club but u gotta be cute 

20-year-old singer-songwriter Holly Humberstone has amassed over 4.5 million streams on Spotify from just two tracks. She takes inspiration from Phoebe Bridgers, Bon Iver, Lorde, Ben Howard, HAIIM. She’s currently working on her first EP, but has already played Glastonbury Festival and toured with Lewis Capaldi.

Indie rock band, Pillow Queens, hail from Dublin. They formed in 2016 and have already supported the likes of Pussy Riot, Future Islands, Idles, they are working on their hotly anticipated debut album, set for release sometime this year.

Glaswegian, singer-songwriter and self-proclaimed ‘sad boy’ Joesef’s songs unsurprisingly tell of heartbreak. The soulful singer’s music was so anticipated, he sold-out his first gig before he’d released a single track. Luckily he’s now got an EP under his belt, which was released in 2019, plus he released two tracks this year.

East London-based rapper Jay Silva has an innovative flow and quirky sound, he’s influenced by the likes of Akon and Sean Paul. He released his debut EP, Tutti Frutti, last year – he produced nine of the 10 tracks.
