10 new artists to listen to in March
Bored of listening to the same artists and songs? We’ve put together a list of our top 10 new artists that we think you should be listening to – plus we’ve selected the song from each artist that we think you need to hear.
Novelty Island is the surreal-pop band created by Tom McConell, who takes his inspiration from classic songwriting, warped electronica and surrealism. They released their “Welcome To Novelty Island…” EP on 20 March.

Amyl and The Sniffers are the pub punk band hailing from Australia. Their energetic and raw sound has been compared to hard rock bands, Iggy Pop and The Stooges and The Damned. They released their self-titled, debut studio album last year.

Aussie indie pop-rock band, Spacey Jane, blend off-kilter guitar riffs with infectious melodies. They have two EPs under their belt, No Way to Treat an Animal and In the Slight, and their debut studio album is set for release in June.

Neo soul singer-songwriter, Joy Crookes, sings about relationships, self-reliance, her culture, South London roots and identity. She was shortlisted for the BRIT Award for Rising Star earlier this year and has been compared to Amy Winehouse and Lauryn Hill.

Female-fronted four piece indie-band, BLOXX, mix catchy lyrics, indie melodies and scorching guitar riffs. They released Coming Up Short, their second single from their highly anticipated debut studio album, earlier this year.

Rising R&B star, AMA, hails from West London. She released her EP PIXELHEART earlier this year, which she describes as looking at love through the eyes of Generation Z, incorporated with her own unique sound.
Eventim recommends: Slip
London based band, Bamily, take influence from disco, hip-hop and soul and incorporate elements of DJing, samples and turntablism into their music. They released their EP, Family with a B, last month.
Eventim recommends: Hello Stranger
British rapper and songwriter, Jay1, flies the flag for Coventry’s rap scene. His single, Your Mrs, racked up a million plays on streaming services three days after its release. The single is from his debut studio album, One Wave, which was released last year.
Eventim recommends: Tropical Love
Croydon rapper, Hardy Caprio, is inspired by Krept & Konan and Stormzy, but sets his own tone in the UK Grime, Rap and Garage scene. Along with a string of successful EPs and singles, he features on Darkoo’s single Juicy, which was released earlier this year.
Eventim recommends: Best Life
London-based producer, Vegyn, has an unconventional style of beat making, which is playful and mysterious. You may know him from his production work on Frank Ocean’s Blond and Endless, but his debut album Only Diamonds Cut Diamonds makes him a star in his own right.
