Some of our most treasured memories are of experiencing live music with the ones closest to us, whether that is in a local venue, arena or at a major festival. In times like these, we reflect on our most precious memories and look forward to times when we can create more memories together.

The music industry is a huge community that is built upon utmost passion and love for live music. In these unprecedented times, with no clear guidance and lack of support from the Government there is a risk that so much will be lost.

Just to start, there are over 800 grassroot venues that are independently owned and 72% of those working within the live music industry are self-employed – are being let down by the Government. With so many struggling to keep afloat with the current pandemic, we want to show just how much we all appreciate and support live music. We are uniting to spread the message and we encourage you to share an image or video of the last gig you went to before lockdown and use the hashtag #LetTheMusicPlay.

Here is a selection of our Team Eventim's last gigs before lockdown occurred:

Phil X & The Drill at Rebellion Manchester, 7th March - Larissa

One of the best rock n roll gigs I have been to in a long time. ‘I wish my beer was as cold as your heart’ is classic and a highlight of the night!

Dropkick Murphys at Alexandra Palace, 21st February - Ben

Always the best party atmosphere, favourite song of the night Rose Tattoo, it’s a classic.

Napalm Death at Electric Brixton, 23rd February - Maddy

They always play their shortest song, You Suffer. It’s 1.316 seconds long haha!

Batushka at The Dome, 3rd March - Laura

Nothing like watching a satanic mass on a Tuesday evening. Incense, hooded cloaks, piercing guitars. Iconic.

BABYMETAL at Eventim Apollo, 23 February - Andy

This was my first full-blown metal gig and what an incredible show it was! Best songs of the night (in my opinion) were Gimme Chocolate!! and Head Bangeeeeerrrrr!!!!!

Calva Louise at Roundhouse, 20 February - Gary

In the more intimate settings of the Sackler Space within the venue, this gig was the second time I’ve seen them play, but this time up close! Favourite songs: Cruel Girl and Belicoso.

Sigrid at Eventim Apollo, 4 December - Zoe

The Norwegian pop-sensation’s show was full of energy and good vibes. The best songs had to be the crowd pleasers, Don’t Feel Like Crying and Don’t Kill My Vibe.
