The best new artists to listen to this week

new artists to listen to

Every week we find you the best new artists and select our favourite track of theirs for you to hear. This week we’ve added Bristol-based funk-pop band Tungz, creative collective The Land of Rah and more. Find out more about these artists and listen to the Eventim Picks New Artists playlist below.

The Land of Rah is a creative collective from Sydney, setting all their songs in a Tolkien inspired world that they've made up. Their song styles depend on the tale being told in the lyrics, ranging from psych rock and acid house to jazz. They released their latest single, Valenfall, last week.
Eventim recommends: Arevil’s Garden (Rip)

Four-piece, Anorak Patch, hail from Colchester and the band member’s ages range from just 13-16. But don’t expect a teen pop sound, their indie sound is influenced by Black Midi, Radiohead and Slint, and they’ve had their singles played on BBC 6 Music. They released their latest single, 6 Week Party, in March.
Eventim recommends: Beans

British producer, rapper and singer, Kay Young’s sound is influenced by soul and hip-hop beats. She was personally discovered by Jay Electronica, then signed by Jay-Z, on hearing her demos. She released her latest single, Going Through, in June – the song’s personal lyrics are her words to her late Grandmother.
Eventim recommends: Desires on Fire

Bristol-based band Tungz mix funk-pop, ‘70s synth, disco grooves, tightly tuned percussion and guitar licks. They released their debut EP, Okay, last year and their latest track, Can’t We Just Be Friends Again, in March.
Eventim recommends: Do You Like It?

Rapper, singer, script-writer and director, Enny, hails from South East London. The hip-hop artist is a soulful lyricist, inspired by Ms. Lauryn Hill, Nas and J. Cole. You can hear these soulful lyrics on her single, He’s Not Into You, which was released in April.
