This week we think you should discover these wonderful artists, Winter Mountain, Inglorious, Huw & the Greater Good, Tamzene and Jade Emperor. Find out more about them and listen to their music below. 

Winter Mountain

Americana/folk singer songwriter, Winter Mountain, hails from Cornwall. He’s supported the likes of Seal, Seth Lakeman, The Feeling, Paolo Nutini, Leanne Rimes and The Waterboys. Catch him live at his headline show at The Slaughtered Lamb in October 2021.

Inglorious
British rock band Inglorious are working on their fourth latest studio album, set for release early next year. Fronted by Nathan James, who sang for a time with Trans-Siberian Orchestra and Scorpions guitarist Uli Jon Roth. They’re influenced by ‘70s Hard Rock bands, such as Deep Purple, Led Zeppelin, Whitesnake, Bad Company, Aerosmith and The Rolling Stones. See them live on their UK tour in May 2021.

Huw & the Greater Good
Huw & the Greater Good are made up of members from each corner of the UK, formed in 2017 after bonding over a love of Edward Sharpe & the Magnetic Zeros and Cage the Elephant. The alternative/indie/folk group’s songs are about self-discovery and heartache. They are set to play Manchester’s Castle Hotel in March. 

Tamzene
Multi-instrumentalist, writer and singer, Tamzene, hails from the coastal town of Cromarty in the Scottish Highlands. She’s influenced by the likes of Roberta Flack, Aretha Franklin, Nina Simone and Alicia Keys, Birdy and Matt Corby, along with her Jamaican and Irish heritage. She released her debut EP, Intro, in August – we hope it’s the first of many to come. 

Jade Emperor
English singer songwriter, Jade Emperor, blends an eclectic mix of soul, jazz and hip-hop to create a nostalgic yet contemporary sound. She played Liverpool’s Sound City virtual festival this year and has received support from BBC Radio 1Xtra. She released her latest single, Better, last week – we’re expecting big things from this rising star.
