Artist of the Month: The Reytons (Sept 2023)

Hailing from Sheffield, four piece The Reytons quickly gained a reputation for their infectious indie-rock anthems and made their mark on the scene. A fusion of indie, rock, and punk, with a dash of gutsy realism, their music is both a celebration and social commentary of life in South Yorkshire – tackling themes of youth rebellion, working class struggles, love, and togetherness.

Their album ‘Kids Off The Estate’ debuted at number 11 in the UK Album Charts – a huge achievement for an emerging band’s first ever record; this album paved the way for a hugely successful touring career, building a dedicated fan base across the UK and a reputation for explosive live shows. With that, we are so excited that the band will be back on the road very soon to celebrate their second album ‘What’s Rock and Roll?’

The album, released earlier this year, achieved monumental success, shooting straight to number one in the UK album charts. Not only was this a profound achievement for the band, it was made even more so by reaching number one without the support of a label behind them – solidifying their significance in the indie-rock scene even more so and confirming the loyalty of their fans.

The album follows similar themes to the first and continues the band’s gritty sound that the fans know and love but, with lyrics even more refined and sharper, this is The Reytons at their very best. We cannot wait to see the band perform their new tracks live on tour very soon.

The tour starts in Liverpool on 23 September, book last chance tickets now.
