Planet Earth II Live in Concert is set to tour the UK in 2022. The incredible immersive experience will visit Cardiff, London, Manchester, Birmingham, Glasgow, Leeds, and due to huge demand, there’s a brand new date in Bournemouth.

Sensational specially-selected footage from the BAFTA and EMMY award-winning BBC series will be shown, accompanied by the City of Prague Philharmonic Orchestra, conducted by Matthew Freeman. They’ll be playing the remarkable music by Oscar award-winner Hans Zimmer, Jacob Shea and Jasha Klebe for Bleeding Fingers Music. The tour will be hosted by science and natural history TV presenter, Liz Bonnin, and will feature a special guest appearance from the series Executive Producer, Mike Gunton, sharing behind the scenes stories with audiences.

This spectacular live concert tour comprises carefully chosen clips from the incredible series, shown in 4K ultra high-definition on a gigantic LED screen. Audience will see our acrobatic primate cousins in the steaming jungles of Madagascar, fearsome hunting lions in the remote sandy deserts of Namibia, stormy Antarctic seas with a family of penguins and feel the raw tension as a baby iguana tries to escape the clutches of deadly racer snakes and much more.

The tour will be hosted by Liz Bonnin, the science and natural TV presenter who has presented Blue Planet Live, Super Smart Animals, Galapagos and Horizon.

Looking ahead to the tour, Liz said, “I am so honoured to have the role of host on the Planet Earth II Live in Concert arena tour. The TV series included some absolutely breathtaking sequences - who can ever forget the marine iguana fighting for its life as it escaped those racer snakes? I will be just as thrilled as the audience to relive such magnificent scenes on the giant screen, accompanied by a spectacular 80-piece orchestra - it will certainly be an experience to remember!” Read the full interview here

The tour will also feature special guest the executive producer of the series, Mike Gunton sharing behind the scenes stories with audiences. Mike Gunton has been producing natural history programmes for over thirty years and has worked very closely with Sir David Attenborough on many documentaries, including Planet Earth II.

Mike says: “Planet Earth II is particularly special, because it reset how we make wildlife films and it really engaged the audience reaction with wildlife film making. The number of people who watched the series globally was huge, it changed the way people think about the environment and our natural world. Planet Earth II has effectively become the ‘mothership’ of a whole series of projects that are now being made, we’re delighted because it has rebooted the public connection with the environment and wildlife. I can’t wait to take part in the UK arena tour, sharing special stories and insights with the audience.”
