Every week we help you discover new music, selecting our favourite upcoming artists to listen to and update our Spotify playlist with new tracks. This week we’ve picked Aussie English duo HUX, hip hop artist TrueMendous and more – check them out and listen to the playlist below. 

South London soulful singer and songwriter Lola Young is a recent BRIT School graduate. Her music is made up of jazz-tinged and neo-soul sounds. She released her latest single, Woman, in September, which is about female empowerment and patriarchy. 

Aussie-English duo HUX mix catchy melodies and harmonies to create their indie pop sound. They released their latest track, Lemonade, back in August, which is a laid back summer song, just right for warming up a cold October day.

Hip hop artist TrueMendous is one of the UK’s most promising upcoming lyricists. She played eleven festivals in 2019, including Glastonbury and Reading and Leeds. She dropped her EP, HUH?, earlier this year.

Indie pop singer Franki hails from Dublin. He’s influenced by the likes of The 1975, Blood Orange, Charli XCX, Bon Iver and The Japanese House. He dropped his latest track, I Meant It, in September. His music has themes of love, heartbreak and insecurity.

London based singer, songwriter and producer scott is okay has received support from BBC Introducing. He released his latest track, Patience, in August. He mixes lo-fi, pop, indie and R&B to create his sound.
