The World’s finest Fleetwood Mac Tribute Concert is heading back out on the road this summer. May dates include The White Rock Theatre in Hastings & Portsmouth Guildhall.
Ahead of their upcoming UK dates, we caught up with Rumours Of Fleetwood Mac drummer, Allan Cosgrove.
Is this your first time performing at Hastings White Rock?
The show has been in existence for nearly 25 years. We must have been through Hastings around 10 – 12 times so definitely not our first time. We love the theatre, it holds a lot of history as a live music venue, it’s a great privilege for us to play there.
Rumours of Fleetwood Mac tours all around the UK. As well as Hastings White Rock, what are some of your favourite venues on the tour?
Over the years, we’ve found a few spiritual homes, some of our favourites are Birmingham Symphony Hall, Leicester De Montfort and Cambridge Corn Exchange. They are some of the first we played so they hold special memories.
Why do you think people love the music of Fleetwood Mac so much?
There’s almost 50 years of back catalogue. Fleetwood Mac and their music has been the soundtrack to many peoples lives. They’ve been with us forever. Their music relates to a time in peoples lives, linked to different events so you can reminisce when you hear the songs.
Which are your favourite of their songs that you perform live / in the show?
They’re all precious because each song will hold a memory for the audience. I started the show 24 years ago and I have so many great memories with all of the songs. There’s a great mix of different genres. As a drummer, if I had to choose one it would probably be Tusk.
What was the first gig / theatre show you bought tickets for?
My first show would have been in 1976 at the Liverpool Stadium. I was 16 and queued up round the block to see Thin Lizzy. Fantastic live band and great drummer.
How would you describe the Rumours of Fleetwood Mac show in 3 words?
I can do it in 4! True to their music. We have a great roster of musicians who perform in the show. We play it note for note and like to stay true to the original songs
